Hi i hope you can help me. I play Matched grip, but on the ridecymbal frenchgrip. The last time i feel very uncomfortable and uncertain about my grip, since i followed the advice of my teacher to play the stick in the middle of the palm, like a extension of the arm an hand. What would you advice me to do about the Grip, and how would you actually explain the grip to a student like me? Thanks so much for your answer.

Hey Mr. Riley, I took your advice when I was in New York and checked out a 20" MT Constantinople at Drummer's World, but I have a dilemma. You told me to look for a high profile, but zildjian only lists high pitched and high bell. Were you refering to one of these cymbals?

Hi. My name is Richard Shafer. I'm a percussion major at the University of Oklahoma. I actually met you briefly when you were down here for the percussion festival last spring. I'm drumming with several ensembles at school and with and independent quartet. I will be in NYC this coming week (of the 19th) with the marching band for the Macy's Parade, and am interested in a lesson. Please let me know your policies on this and if this would be possible. Thanks so much.

Hi John, I will be in New York November 9-13 and wondered if you will be there and if you ever book private lessons. Your books have been an inspiration to me and I can't think of a better way to spend an hour in NYC than to learn from the master!
