Hi John, I recently bought "the jazz Drummer's workshop", it's great. I find a bit difficuld to play some of the exercises. I wonder if you could give me some advice that could help me to reach the skills needed to play them. Thanks very much. Cecil

Mr. Riley I must say that what I have heard from you on the Vangaurd albums are beyond words. I was wondering if you have any suggestions for a drummer looking for colleges to play with. my email is goingzanzibar@hotmail.com

Mr Riley: First of all I would like to thank you for your books, they are really great, I`m a drummer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. My main concern it`s about the ride cymbal jazz pattern articulation . I have been working with your books many years ago and I wanted to know how to name the motions in the standard jazz pattern, not only the down-tap-up technique, in order to give every quarter note the same intensity(accent), thank you very much for your time, best regards, Eloy.

John: I really apreciate what you've done with your books. They're a Bible for drummers... The only thing i can say is thanks.
