John, in Beyond bop, page 39, for the odd groups, are the eighth notes swung or straight? I would assume swung because of the material being jazz, but on the recordings the notes sound straight. Thank you

John: In your teaching experience, have you found that older, more experienced drummers, have difficulty grasping your concepts because of their patterns and ways of playing that have developed over the years, thereby interfering with the freedom necessary to incorporate your concepts more easily? In other words, can you really teach an old dog new tricks?

John: I enjoy your DVD each time I view it. I do, however, have a question. Given the fact that moving around the drum set is essentially like a triangle with the shoulders and arms being the hypotenuse and the bottom of the triangle being the line from the hips to various drums, would sitting higher shorten the hypotenuse, thereby making it easier to go around, at least theoretically? If so, why do some great drummers sit so low?

Hi John I got the opportunity to meet you last year in Melbourne Australia, just bought the DVD, I'm very inspired by it, I'm really wanting to buy some albums with you drumming on, but can't seem to find anything on iTunes, can you recommend some albums I can get from iTunes, also on your DVD you break down your performance from a live album you played on, is that on iTunes to buy, what is it called. Thanks for your inspiration and hope to see you in Australia again. Regards Max
