Hi John. You never cease to amaze me with your insight and clarity. The new DVD is terrific. My question is, do you have any favorite John Von Ohlen, Shelly Manne, or Jake Hanna recordings to recommend?

I met your nephew @ Guitar Center in Allentown on April 21 before a gig he had in Phia. He said you may know the value or can direct me to someone who my be interested in purchasing vintage Avedis Zilgin Cymbals. They are as follows: 2- 14 inch High Hats - 1- 15 inch Crash - 1 16 inch ride.Mint Condition..no cracks... Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Mint

John, I just happened your explantion of a fast jazz ride cymbal pattern on drummerworld.com. I ordered the book and will be woodsheding .It was truly an epiphany for someone playing for 40 years. Thanks so very much.
