| John - I am inspired using your Beyond Bop Drumming so much! This is so specific, but on page 11, the 8th exercise (third from bottom), is the left hand to play the closed hi hat, or close it with the foot (which makes more sense to me) - 'x' on top space - thank you! |

I'm working out of your post bop book, reading and listening to your playing. The more I hear your main ride cymbal on the speed bumps cut, the more it gets under my skin. I suspect it is a vintage Z with rivets, but I'd like to know a little more about it. Is it vintage or a recent issue? What's the age, model, diameter and weight? Anything else?
