Hello John,
Just a note to say I've been enjoying your Bop Drumming book. I've been playing 40+ years and needed a new challenge. Your book has given me that. I teach as well and am using your book with my students. Great job on the book. I only wish you would have recorded all of the material in the comping sections. It is fun to play along with you on those exercises. Thanks again - Joe |

Dear John,
I have the pleasure to work on your medias, I have the art of Bop Drumming and the master drummer video.
In your book, I am currectly practising the samba pattern pp. 59 and I like to know if you would advise to play a slight accent on the bass drum on the 2nd beat of each measure to have a better authentic groove ?
Many thanks in advance for your help

John,
It was great to finally meet you in person a few weeks ago at Building 24 in Wyomissing, PA. I enjoyed the show tremendously and it was an honor to finally meet you in person. It's been 5 years since I've discovered your publications, and it has improved my playing hundredfold. Thank you for the fantastic explanations, and constant inspiration that you give to (I am certain) all of your students around the world.
Please check out my website SadikDrums.com whenever you have a free moment in your busy schedule.
Best Regards,
Sadik Akdogan |

Greetings Mr. Riley, I know you by your books, my teachers use them a lot. I record a modest video a couple days ago, it's a transcription of one Steve Gadd's Solo, I would be glad to have your opinion, i know i have a lot to know yet, Un Cordial Abrazo. |
