Thank you for your books! Beyond a series of exercises and beat catalogues, your books are conceptual and inspire creativity. You are the best teacher I have never had.

John: I bought your video the other day, and think it's terrific. You're giving away all the secrets, man!. But there were some new ones in there for me that I'll be shedding. It's never too late to learn. Salut' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyOuJi7Kiu8

Hi John, Greetings from India! First of all, I want to thank you for making the Master Drummer. I could not have asked for a better induction for me- a self taught drummer who was entirely new to the world of jazz drumming. Can you please suggest books for learning how to read drums? I see that there is a lot of useful material out there in written format. Also, can you please give me tips/ideas for up tempo jazz groove construction? Thanks in advance. -Kiran, Bangalore, India
