Hi john, I just wanted you to know I picked up "The Art of Bop Drumming" about six weeks ago. It has inspired me to learn something that i brushed off many years ago as a young boy taking lessons. I find myself staying up late playing after the wife has gone to bed just to go thru another lesson or two form your book. Thanks, Bob

Hello mr, Riley! I can't thank you enough...i buy all your books and dvd...it change me so much...I work on all books and that's change and establish me as real jazz drummer. You're irreplaceable Professor...so, i have one simple question: I'm left-handed, that's not problem at all, but sometime, i'm confused concerning some exercises. In 'The art of bop drumming' in chapter 'Brushes', should i reverse brush patterns (which is very natural to me, because, as i sad, my left hand is on ride cymbal and right hand on snare). First pattern i can reverse, but, what with the others? What should i do? Please, answer me, mr. Riley. I hope you see you playing someday in Sarajevo and Tuzla, regards from Bosnia and Herzegovina!
