John, Still woodshedding The Art of Bop Drumming. Added a great excersise. EX: Play the 2 measure phrases on pages 18 and 19 but play snare and bass in unison. Creates some nice tension. Your clip on fast ride on drummerword.com has me playing at least 100 ppm faster and with less effort. Thanks!!!!!! Brian Griswold

Hello John, Ive been watching, hearing, enjoying your DVD The Master Drummer. I also have your 3 books though I still didnt finish them. If I meet you anytime I'll give you a big hug a la Elvin, I'm sure he would do the same if he'd seen all your kindness aproach and smart, elegant, simple way of teaching and infecting the love for drums. hello, john - I'm player from germany - first I've the problem that's m bassdrumsound is too full - what can I do, I use 20"x14" with Fiberskyn Amb. batterside. And second I'm sreaching a good new ridecymbal what you prefer. Now I use Istanbul 'Danny Gottlieb' Flatride 20" but that's too Flatsound. Thank you Michael
