Dear John Riley, in my solos I have learned how to make pretty good sounding solos, but I have gotten to a point that I almost want to hear melody in them, as if it was a sax solo or a piano solo. I feel that all I have is rythms and grooves. Most people can really understand what a sax player feels or thinks during a solo, but not really drummer, they just play. Is there a way to achieve that?

Hello John, in February you had a page on the Drummerworld site on Question and Answer solos. Is the mp3 file from that page still available as I would like to hear what its meant to sound like.

Hi John I'm writing an essay on drum coordination and would like to ask you some questions, regarding the educational or pedagogical aspect of it. If you say yes I will send them in another message. Thank you
